A 79-year-old Nigerian woman is speaking out with a heartbreaking story, revealing she was brought to the U.S. with promises of a better life, only to be exploited as a nanny for seven months without receiving any payment.

The distressing account emerged on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) through a post by user @dammiedammie35. The post included a photo of the elderly woman and a detailed recount of her painful ordeal.

She explained that for seven months, she worked tirelessly as a nanny, caring for three children. The man she worked for reportedly left the house at 5 a.m. and didn’t return until 10 p.m. daily. Despite her diligent efforts, she claims she was never paid a single penny for her labor.

In her own words, she shared: “He was using me and making me suffer. I took care of his three children while he left at 5 a.m. and returned at 10 p.m.”

She detailed the financial exploitation: “He owes me seven months’ salary at $850 per month. He told me that starting from June, if there were no complaints about me, he would increase my pay to $1,100. But today, he sent me away without giving me anything.”

The post quickly drew widespread attention, with many concerned individuals flooding the comment section to express their outrage and offer support for the elderly woman.
