A heartbreaking video has surfaced online showing Nigerian professional boxer and West African champion, Prince Bob Alagoro, pleading for financial help after falling on hard times.

In the video, shared by user @General_Somto on X (formerly Twitter), Alagoro opens up about his struggles to pay rent, agreement, and agent fees, despite once representing Nigeria on the international stage. The visibly emotional athlete lamented that his sacrifices for the country have gone unrecognized, leaving him stranded in his current living conditions.

He also revealed a strained relationship with his family, claiming they turned their backs on him after he donated money to an orphanage. “I’m ashamed to bring this belt out,” he said. “Sometimes I have the rent, but the agreement and commission fees hold me back.”

Alagoro recounted his unbeaten record in Nigeria and his victory in Burkina Faso, where he clinched the West African boxing title, proudly stating, “No boxer in Nigeria has defeated me.”

The video quickly gained traction online, sparking a wave of reactions from Nigerians who expressed sympathy, frustration, and anger over the poor treatment of national heroes.

Some users called for help from celebrities like Anthony Joshua, while others slammed the government and questioned the priorities of a system that abandons its champions.
