Pastor Esiri has stirred controversy after publicly criticizing the growing influence of social media personality Peller on Nigerian youths, accusing him of being a negative role model contributing to poor academic performance.

During a recent church service, the outspoken pastor lamented the addiction of young people to social media, singling out Peller as a major distraction. He claimed that many youths now idolize Peller, spending endless hours on his page instead of focusing on their studies.

In a fiery sermon, Pastor Esiri said,

“You know who’s mentoring young people now? A guy who calls himself Peller. From morning till night, youths are glued to his page. He parades around with a girl he’s not married to, engaging in all kinds of immoral acts, and society just sees it as normal. How can they pass JAMB like this? They can’t pass JAMB!”
