Nigerian Pastor Slams “No Turning Back” Gospel Hit, Sparks Online Outrage

A Nigerian pastor has stirred controversy after publicly criticizing the widely popular Christian song “No Turning Back” by gospel artists Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor.
In a viral video shared online, the cleric claimed the track, currently trending on YouTube and TikTok, fails to convey any real gospel message. According to him, the song has become more of a vibe than a vessel for spiritual truth.
“There’s nothing gospel about it anymore,” he argued, dismissing the song as mere hype lacking depth. He further went on to attack the physical appearances of the singers, Gaise and Oyor, questioning their spiritual authenticity based on their looks.
The pastor’s remarks have triggered a wave of reactions across social media, with many Nigerians coming to the defense of the artists and the song’s message.
