Reality TV star and media personality, Tacha, has publicly criticized Pastor Paul Adefarasin for describing a content creator as “aggressive” during a now-viral street encounter in Lagos.

The incident, which sparked widespread debate online, involved a video showing the senior pastor of House on the Rock Church in his car as a content creator attempted to record him. In the footage, Adefarasin winds down his window to briefly engage the individual before driving off. Some viewers speculated that the clergyman was holding a firearm during the exchange — a claim he has firmly denied.

Addressing the controversy during his Sunday sermon, Pastor Adefarasin clarified that he does not possess a firearm license and did not threaten the videographer. He further described the content creator’s behavior as “aggressive” and said the individual had entered his personal space without consent.

Tacha, however, was not convinced. Reacting via a video on social media, she accused Adefarasin of gaslighting and defended the content creator’s approach. According to her, many Nigerian pastors often act with impunity and entitlement in the country — behavior she believes they wouldn’t dare to exhibit abroad.

She also pointed out what she perceives as selective outrage on Nigerian social media, suggesting that the response would have been more intense if the incident had involved someone like Seyi Tinubu or the son of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
