The incident reportedly occurred at the Seme border where Officer Orji was stationed. Ezeani, who was trying to evade authorities, allegedly attempted to buy his way out of apprehension. However, not all reactions were rosy. Some users questioned the motives behind the high-profile visit.
“Hosts like this scare me. Unfounded, but could prolly be one of the syndicates,” one user commented.
Another added, “My problem with most of these people is that most of them are part of the syndicate, na person wey dem catch be thief.”
@TammyLo22059350 raised another point: “We aren’t interested in all these show-offs. We want to know where that evil man is and if he has been sentenced to death by hanging.”
Despite the mixed reactions, the moment remains a spotlight on the rare courage displayed by a public servant in a country where stories of corruption often dominate headlines.
