“Even Married, They No Let Me Rest” – Charly Boy Opens Up on Past Attention from Women

Veteran entertainer and social activist Charly Boy has opened up about a time in his life when his physique drew intense attention from women, even though he was married.

In a post shared on Tuesday via his X (formerly Twitter) account, the maverick artist reflected on his younger years, revealing that about 30 years ago, he posed for unclad, suggestive photos because he was proud of his body.

Charly Boy, whose real name is Charles Oputa, noted that his decision to revisit the memory was inspired by stories he heard about his late father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, during his youth.

He recalled how his father, as a young student at Achimota College in Ghana, was reportedly very popular among women—thanks to his good looks and gym routine.

“There are times and seasons in everyone’s life,” Charly Boy wrote. “I heard stories of my beloved late father when he was single and young. He attended Achimota College in Ghana. Rumours had it that women no let the fine Bobo rest. He was always showing off his body ’cos he was a gym rat too.”

Drawing a comparison to his own life, he added:
“30 years ago, I took some suggestive nude pictures because I knew I had a banging body, and the women no let me rest even when they all knew I was married.
Yea! You can say, na my papa born me.”
