Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is currently trending after two elderly men allegedly relatives from his father’s side, accused him of abandoning them in their village despite his fame and fortune.

In a video shared on the microblogging platform X by user @AsakyGRN, the men identified themselves as brothers of Osimhen’s late father. They claimed to have grown up with his dad, attended the same school, and shared close family ties—yet, according to them, the Napoli forward has never looked back since hitting the limelight.

One of the men said in Pidgin, “The father is of the same grandfather with me… we surprise how that boy say he no know say… the father grew from here, we attended the same primary school here. From here he learnt driving before him comot…”

The video has since stirred mixed reactions online.

Read Naija gathered that some Nigerians are siding with Osimhen, accusing the elderly men of promoting entitlement culture.

@UnlimitedEniola said, “I don’t go to my father’s house, I don’t care what is happening there so, no one can blackmail me with that. Stop this nonsense and let people live their lives.”

@THE_CRAFT3R noted, “Osimhen’s dad left the village for Lagos before he even got married. Victor was born in Lagos and probably never even had ties with the village. Why is he now to blame?”

@south_southBoy added, “Victor’s mum is from my hometown in Delta. Even though she’s late, he still takes care of his family.”
