Grammy-winning Nigerian icon, Wizkid, has just unlocked another legendary achievement — he’s now the first African artist to surpass a staggering 20 billion global audio-on-demand streams, according to verified data from Chart Masters.
The groundbreaking number includes both his solo hits and unforgettable features. Leading the pack is his global anthem “One Dance” with Drake and Kyla, which alone has pulled in over 3.6 billion streams on Spotify, earning a place in the Guinness World Records as the first song ever to cross 1 billion streams on the platform.
This latest feat adds to Wizkid’s long list of accolades, including being the first African to bag the Brit Billion Award for 1 billion UK streams and selling over 65 million units globally — officially crowning him the top-selling Afrobeats artist of all time.
