The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has sent a bold and aggressive message to those threatening Nigeria’s peace: “We’re coming for you.”

The stern warning was issued on Wednesday during the Nigerian Air Force’s Second Quarter Route March in Abuja. Addressing officers, Abubakar reaffirmed the military’s commitment to national security and vowed to hunt down all enemies of the state.

“To the enemies of our dear nation, know this, we are coming for you. There will be no hiding place. We will find you, and we will take you out,” he said with firm resolve.

He emphasized that defending Nigeria’s airspace and supporting ground forces remains the NAF’s top priority, noting that insecurity will be met with strategic, relentless force.

The Air Chief also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and reaffirmed the loyalty of the Air Force to his administration.

In a bid to improve discipline and readiness, Abubakar announced that physical fitness will now be a requirement for promotion in the Nigerian Air Force.

“I’ve directed that no personnel will be promoted without a valid physical fitness certificate. We must be mentally and physically prepared for the job ahead,” he added.

He likened the route march to the journey toward peace, stating that while the road is tough, the Air Force remains focused on the mission.

“We are not just marching; we are moving towards honour, duty, and national stability,” he said.

His statement has sparked strong reactions online, with many Nigerians applauding the tough stance and calling for visible action against insurgency and insecurity.
