Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has revealed that her three-year marriage has come to an end. In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Monday, June 3, she confirmed that she and her husband have been separated since April 2024.

What made the announcement even more emotional was that it came wrapped in a birthday message to her now ex-husband, whom she still referred to affectionately as the father of her child.

“Happy birthday to my ex-husband and my baby daddy,” she wrote, praying for grace, peace, and blessings in his life. But it wasn’t just a birthday wish — it was a deeply personal confession.

“Yes, you heard me right!” Biola continued. “My husband and I have been separated since April last year, but we have decided to maturely and peacefully co-parent our dear son who means everything to us.”

Biola, known for her strong and expressive roles on screen, shared the pain she has quietly endured behind closed doors. “While I go about making other people happy in the day, my pillow is drenched with my own tears almost every night for the past 14 months,” she confessed. “But I gain strength from Christ who loves me eternally.”

The actress and her former partner had faced a long and emotional journey to parenthood, including failed IVF attempts and surrogacy trials. In 2023, they finally welcomed their baby boy through surrogacy — a moment that had brought immense joy to fans across the country.

Now, even in separation, Biola is holding on to faith and urging fans to extend kindness to others. “Let’s learn to be kind to people. You have no idea what others are going through until they say it.”
