BBNaija’s Doyin Vows Never to Join Nigerian Reality Shows Again, Cites Mental Health Struggles and Misrepresentation

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Doyin David, has made it clear she will never participate in any Nigerian reality show again, citing the mental toll her previous experience had on her.
In a candid interview with Trendupp Africa, Doyin reflected on her time in the BBNaija house, describing the experience as overwhelming and emotionally draining. She revealed that not even a huge cash prize could lure her back into such a space.
“My experience being on a reality show was mad. Very very crazy experience. I will never do it again in my life, not for any amount. Except it is a show outside the country,” she declared.
The reality star also accused the BBNaija production team of manipulating her image by selectively editing footage to fit a specific narrative. According to her, the portrayal given to viewers was far from who she truly is.
Watch her speak;
“They portray you the way they want to. They have given everybody an impression of you that are not really true. A lot of people think some things about my personality that is not really who I am at all,” she said.
Doyin did not hold back in her criticism of Nigerians as well, lamenting that the audience is too quick to judge without understanding the context or full story.
“But Nigerians are too judgmental, so I’m not blessing them with my presence ever again,” she added.
