“Boda Agbaya”: Dino Melaye Fires Back at Charly Boy Over Viral Mockery

Former Senator Dino Melaye has fired back at Nigerian music veteran and activist Charly Boy, following criticisms over his flamboyant display of wealth in a recent viral video.
Charly Boy had taken a swipe at Melaye, describing his “limited edition” self-proclamation as a symptom of deeper emotional struggles. “Not all mental illnesses are noticeable,” he jabbed, suggesting the senator’s luxury lifestyle might be overcompensating for unresolved personal issues.
But Melaye, known for never backing down from public spats, clapped back in a no-holds-barred video posted on his social media platforms. He accused Charly Boy of seeking cheap attention.
“Charly Boy is trying to use my name to gain popularity because his destiny has been thrown inside a freezer,” Melaye said.

The former lawmaker also mocked Charly Boy’s living conditions, alleging he couldn’t even repair a leaking roof and sarcastically calling out the entertainer’s stationary bike display as its own form of show-off.
