Critic Slams Priscilla Ojo & Juma Jux’s Lavish Wedding, Predicts Short-Lived Marriage

Social media commentator Oriretan Honour has stirred reactions online after taking a swipe at the glamorous wedding of Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The couple tied the knot in grand style in Tanzania, with a star-studded guest list that included top entertainment personalities and dignitaries. The wedding climaxed in an extravagant after-party, where Juma Jux surprised his new bride with a brand-new Range Rover, a gesture that quickly went viral.
However, not everyone was impressed by the opulence. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Honour questioned the couple’s priorities, saying the money spent on the wedding could have been used for meaningful development in Nigeria.
“The effort and cash wasted on this Priscilla Iyabo Ojo, Juma Jux wedding could’ve been channeled into developing Nigeria,” he wrote. “More unwise — many don’t realize it may soon crash since social media marriages rarely last. Just put this wedding on Netflix or in cinemas and title it ‘Crying Bestie’. Be wise.”

The tweet, which quickly gained traction, sparked mixed reactions, with some defending the couple’s right to celebrate their love in style, while others echoed Honour’s concerns about the spectacle of celebrity unions.
So far, neither Priscilla Ojo nor Juma Jux has responded to the remarks.
The wedding, which has dominated social feeds for days, continues to draw both admiration and criticism, highlighting the ongoing debate around celebrity culture, public spending, and the durability of high-profile relationships.
