The ongoing custody battle between rapper DDG and actress-singer Halle Bailey has taken a dramatic turn, as DDG filed an emergency motion on Wednesday, June 4, seeking to stop Halle from traveling to Italy with their one-year-old son, Halo.

According to TMZ, DDG is attempting to legally prevent the trip scheduled for June 7, citing fears that Halle may not return to the U.S. and claiming the journey could pose emotional and psychological risks to the child.

In court documents, the rapper raised several concerns over Halle’s past behavior, including a disturbing incident during her pregnancy where she allegedly took his firearm and left their home. He claimed he later found her with the weapon outside. DDG also alleged that she had once considered terminating the pregnancy without informing him and accused her of sending troubling messages suggesting potential harm to herself and their son.

However, this legal battle is far from one-sided. Halle Bailey, best known for her starring role in The Little Mermaid, secured a temporary restraining order against DDG in May, accusing him of physical abuse. In one reported altercation, she claimed he slammed her head into a steering wheel, resulting in a chipped tooth, supported by photographs submitted to the court.

In response to DDG’s motion, Halle clarified that the Italy trip is related to professional work obligations, and emphasized that her family and a nanny would accompany her to ensure Halo’s well-being during the trip.

“I have family and a nanny who will be traveling with me to care for Halo while I am working,” her court filing stated.

The court is expected to rule on the emergency motion soon, as both sides continue to trade serious allegations in a case that has drawn intense public scrutiny.
