Controversial media figure and former On-Air Personality, Daddy Freeze, has opened up about the personal and professional fallout he suffered after publicly criticizing Nigerian pastors. In a frank conversation with entrepreneur Stephen Akintayo, Freeze revealed that his bold stance against questionable religious practices in Nigeria came at a heavy cost.

“When I came after Nigerian pastors, I lost 100% of my business,” Freeze admitted, detailing how his outspoken views triggered a complete collapse of his financial ventures. “I lost everything. It all went like that,” he said, reflecting on the impact of challenging religious authorities in a deeply religious society.

He also addressed the deep-seated religious bias in Nigeria, recounting a heartbreaking incident involving a young Muslim man who was denied employment solely because of his faith. “The guy said, ‘I’m a Muslim.’ The man replied, ‘I can’t work with a Muslim,’” Freeze recalled. Tragically, the young man was still at the gate of the building when it later collapsed — a haunting reminder of how prejudice can have devastating consequences.

Freeze used the moment to critique what he sees as a widespread unwillingness among Christians to collaborate with people from other faiths. “Muslims are more open to working with Christians than the other way round,” he noted, calling for greater religious tolerance in Nigeria.

The conversation also veered into his much-publicized divorce. Freeze admitted that there were physical altercations in his previous marriage, a topic that has long trailed him in the public eye. “Now, in all fairness, we used to fight. And the fight used to get physical,” he confessed, offering rare insight into the personal struggles behind the headlines.

He criticized the stigma surrounding divorce in Nigeria, where society often expects dramatic justification before accepting a separation. “You can’t just say ‘marriage no work, I want to divorce.’ You must be a monster. If not, they will not divorce you,” he said.

Daddy Freeze’s revelations paint a picture of a man unafraid to confront uncomfortable truths — about religion, relationships, and societal hypocrisy — even when the consequences are deeply personal.
