Afrobeats icon Davido has sparked an outpouring of emotions on social media after revealing a heartwarming moment with his daughter, Imade Adeleke.
The singer, currently riding high on the success of his new album 5ive, took to his Instagram story to share a screenshot of a video call with Imade, capturing the pair smiling warmly at the camera. The caption on the post read simply, “Best day of my life. @realimadeadeleke.”
The image quickly went viral, with fans celebrating the moment. One user, Elizabeth Ofikwu, wrote, “See how the girl de happy!!! Blood!!!” while another, Ivy Nani, commented, “Her mum had finally agreed to release her.” Gentle Sam added humorously, “Resemblance na water 😂.”
The post comes amid a highly publicized custody dispute between Davido and his former partner, Sophia Momodu, which began in 2024. Davido had filed a court motion seeking joint custody, while Sophia insisted on sole custody, citing concerns about his involvement and support in Imade’s life.
