A  tricycle rider has publicly ended his allegiance to Manchester United after the team’s shocking 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League final, a loss that cost him not just pride, but also the fuel money he had gambled on a win.

The incident was brought to light via a viral post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by @eddie_wrt, who narrated how the once-devoted fan hit rock bottom following the Red Devils’ crushing loss.

According to the post, the rider had passionately backed his team, staking his day’s earnings, money meant to fuel his tricycle, on United lifting the trophy. But when Tottenham snatched the win, so did despair.

In a moment of frustration, the rider reportedly peeled off the Manchester United logo from his tricycle and renounced his loyalty to the club, vowing never to support them again.
