Heartbreak for Stanley Nwabali as He Prepares for Parents’ Joint Burial
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is mourning the devastating loss of both parents, who passed away just four months apart.
The Chippa United shot-stopper shared the heartbreaking news on social media, revealing that the joint burial ceremony for his father and mother will take place on June 14, 2025, in his hometown in Rivers State.
In an emotional tribute, Nwabali wrote: “They died four months apart,” capturing the depth of his grief as he prepares to lay the most important figures in his life to rest.
Fans, teammates, and colleagues have flooded his pages with messages of love, prayers, and support, commending his strength during such a painful time.
Nwabali has remained a strong presence in Nigerian football, gaining national praise for his performances during the 2023 AFCON, where he helped Nigeria reach the final. Now, away from the pitch, he faces one of the toughest personal battles of his life.
