Adeola, the daughter of renowned actress Jumoke George who was trafficked to Mali four years ago, has been safely brought back to Nigeria.

This development was confirmed on Monday by Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), who shared the news on X (formerly Twitter).

“Breaking! Adeola, the daughter of famous actress Jumoke George, missing for four years after being trafficked to Mali, has been reunited with her family. She arrived with Biola Adebayo, the talk show host who first brought attention to the case, and actor Adeniyi Johnson,” Dabiri-Erewa tweeted.

Jumoke George had previously opened up about her missing daughter during an interview with Biola Adebayo on the show ‘Talk to B.’ She explained that Adeola, her eldest child, had been living with her grandmother in Ibadan before disappearing after mentioning plans to travel to Lagos.

Adeola later reached out to the family, asking for forgiveness and revealing she had traveled abroad with friends in search of better opportunities.

In the interview, Jumoke also shared the challenges she has faced, including serious health issues and financial struggles. She revealed that her condition forced her to turn down acting roles, refund payments, and borrow money for medical treatments—some of which cost nearly N400,000.

All earnings from occasional work have gone toward efforts to find her daughter. Biola Adebayo added that Jumoke George is currently undergoing treatment at a public hospital in Lagos.
