Mercy Johnson Breaks Silence on Resurfaced Cancer Scare Clip, Says She’s Medically Stable

Award-winning Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie, has responded to a resurfaced video clip that reignited concerns over her health, particularly following her noticeable weight loss that recently sparked speculation.

In the now-viral clip, Mercy revealed she had undergone surgery to remove her thyroid after a cancer scare and would remain on medication for the rest of her life. The disclosure led to an outpouring of concern from fans and well-wishers.

However, in a fresh update, the actress clarified that the video was misinterpreted due to selective editing. She explained that while she did face a cancer scare, it was not as alarming as portrayed.

“Thank you so much for all of your calls and your messages. The clip was cut. I said I’ve a cancer scare — means that I had this swelling on my neck,” she said in a follow-up video.

Mercy Johnson assured fans that she is medically stable and doing well, expressing deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support.
