Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, better known as Shank Comics, has sparked reactions online after sharing an unusual story about his father’s religious conversion.

While chatting with a fan in the United States who assumed he was Muslim, Shank clarified that although he bears the Muslim name “Saheed,” he is actually a Christian.

He then shared the backstory: his father, originally a Muslim, switched faiths on the day he was offered food by a Christian church while battling hunger.

In his words:
“My daddy was a Muslim. Then there was one time he was fking hungry, then one church gave him food, and he became a Christian. I swear to God, my dad is so cheap.”**

The remark, delivered in typical Shank fashion with humor and sarcasm, quickly caught the attention of fans online, many of whom didn’t take it lightly.
