Native Doctor Arrested at Lagos Border in Connection with Kidnapping and Ritual Killing

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, has confirmed the arrest of Obi Levi Obieze Ezeani, also known as E Dey Play or E Dey Show, who was declared wanted by the Enugu State Police Command.
Ezeani, a native of Umuojor village in Isiagu Community, Enugu State, is accused of kidnapping and involvement in the ritual killing of a 13-year-old girl.
According to reports, the victim was abducted on May 27, 2025, while walking to their farm with her father. She was later rescued from a shrine believed to be connected to Ezeani.
The suspect was apprehended by the Lagos State Border Patrol Command at the Gbaji checkpoint on Badagry-Seme Road, attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle.
“Nigeria Immigration Service men intercepted Obi Levi Obieze based on credible intelligence,” said ACI AS Akinlabi, NIS Public Relations Officer. “His identity was confirmed through a National Identity Management Commission enrollment slip found in his possession.”
During preliminary interrogation, Ezeani reportedly confessed to the alleged crimes.
The NIS is collaborating with the Nigeria Police Force to facilitate his transfer for further investigation and prosecution.
The Service also reiterated its commitment to tightening border security to prevent criminals from escaping justice via illegal routes.
