Peter Okoye Explodes: ‘Una Thief Abi Una No Thief?’ — Hits Back at Brothers Paul and Jude Over Court Clash

Peter Okoye, one-half of the disbanded music duo P-Square, has reignited the long-standing family feud with his twin brother, Paul, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, with a fiery Instagram outburst accusing them of betrayal and image damage.

The singer lashed out in response to a claim reportedly made by Jude’s lawyer in court, where Peter was accused of lying in a statement he submitted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concerning a royalties dispute.

Fuming, Peter accused the brothers’ camp of using a publicist to paint him as dishonest. “Exactly what I was talking about — their publicist doing everything to make me look like a liar,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “I’m not May D or Cynthia Morgan. I’m Peter Okoye — the rock, Okwute, of the Okoyes. The truth will come out. Una thief abi una no thief?”

He went on to reference the messy fallout involving other artists like May D and Cynthia Morgan, who had previously accused Jude Okoye and Northside Inc. of mistreatment during their time with the label.

Peter also mentioned the tragic death of singer Mohbad as a turning point for him — a moment that made him vow never to stay silent in the face of injustice again. “After watching everything about Mohbad’s death… I decided I’ll never be the ‘bigger person’ again. That’s how this madness started — I was just trying to be mature. Never again,” he stated.

In a more personal revelation, Peter claimed the 2021 P-Square reunion, which thrilled fans across the continent, wasn’t what it seemed. “Only to find out I was actually used in the whole November 2021 reunion,” he wrote, adding that he feels deeply betrayed. “But since we’re in court, I’ll wait for the right time to say what really happened. Family no dey steal from family. Una thief abi una no thief?”

His outburst has triggered fresh discussions among fans and followers online, many expressing sadness over the continued cracks in the once-iconic music family. While the legal proceedings continue behind closed doors, the drama playing out in public suggests the Okoye brothers are still far from reconciling.
