Police officer Loses Round One While Chasing Bike Man

A Nigerian police officer reportedly fell into a pit while chasing a commercial motorcyclist, popularly called a bike man.

The incident, now making waves on social media, was first reported by X user @ChuksEricE, who shared a video showing the officer at the bottom of a large, uncovered pit. According to eyewitnesses, the officer was hot on the heels of the fleeing biker when gravity and bad road planning teamed up to end the chase abruptly.

The footage shows the officer struggling to climb out while a small crowd gathered around the pit, some offering help, others recording history in real time.
