Rudeboy Flaunts Success as Mr P Battles Trolls Over Low YouTube Views

Nigerian music star and one-half of the defunct Psquare duo, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, is basking in the success of his new single Billio$, which has now garnered over 2 million views on YouTube, just days after its release.
Rudeboy shared the achievement via his Instagram story, thanking fans for their support and reaffirming his place among Nigeria’s most streamed solo artists.
This celebration comes at a time when his twin brother and former bandmate, Peter Okoye (Mr P), is dealing with heavy criticism over the performance of his own latest release, ODO.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Mr P addressed trolls who compared his YouTube views with other artists, insisting he values real fan engagement over inflated numbers.
“Team P! We are not in any competition with anybody… I can easily buy 20 million views in less than 1 hour! But I rather grow organically and get real engagement and real fans,” he wrote.
Mr P also pointed out that despite having fewer views, his track enjoys a high rate of genuine interaction with over 5,000 comments and close to 50,000 likes, an indicator of stronger audience connection.
The contrast between the brothers’ approaches has stirred reactions across social media, with some fans interpreting Rudeboy’s celebratory post as subtle shade, while others believe it’s simply an artist appreciating his own success.
