Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has called out the nation’s political leaders over their silence following the recent massacre in Yelwata, Benue State, where around 200 people were reportedly killed by suspected herdsmen.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Bobrisky expressed outrage, drawing attention to the urgency with which lawmakers reacted to his own sentencing earlier this year—contrasting it with their current silence on a national tragedy.

“Senator/house representative didn’t call urgent meeting over the killing happening in Benue,” he wrote. “But they can call urgent meeting when it comes to Bobrisky. Shame!!!! Shame!!!! Shame!!!”

He went on to describe the country as “shameful,” expressing deep disappointment at what he sees as misplaced priorities by Nigeria’s leaders.

“What a shameful country,” he added, criticizing the lack of response to the widespread violence and loss of innocent lives.
