Speaking during a recent appearance on the “Tap In With TT” podcast, the singer drew parallels between Nigerian celebratory culture and that of India, where it’s common to splash out on major events with celebrity performances.
“You can get booked for a naming ceremony $400K,” Davido said. “It’s just like in India; they always celebrate anything. Once you are doing a wedding or a birthday, especially if you have money, the main thing is to invite a big artist…”
