A year after the painful loss of her husband, Jennifer, wife of late Nollywood actor Junior Pope, is mourning once again, this time, the death of her father-in-law, Ozor Luke Odonwodo.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jennifer recounted the last moments she shared with him, revealing that she had visited him in Enugu just weeks before his passing. She recalled how her mother-in-law broke the news to her over the phone, saying her husband had gone “to meet his son,” a moment that left Jennifer stunned and in tears.

“He passed an octogenarian who lived a good life, paid his dues, sacrificed a lot for his family and loved ones, and happily reaped the fruits of his labour,” she wrote in part.

Though she didn’t share the details of his death, Jennifer’s post radiated with gratitude for the time she had with him and the love he showed her during his lifetime. She described him as “one man that genuinely loved me.”

The emotional tribute also touched on the immense weight of grief her family has endured in such a short span of time, noting, “This is actually a lot within one year, but I pray God gives you and us all the strength we need to keep pushing.”
