Nollywood actress Grace Bassey has embarked on a remarkable new journey, joining the US Navy and being sworn in as a US citizen.

The 33-year-old actress, previously known as Belinda Effah, shared the exciting news on Instagram, announcing her recent graduation from US Navy boot camp as a sailor.

Grace Bassey’s post featured a photo of her proudly wearing her military uniform, accompanied by a heartfelt message of gratitude to God, her family, and her supporters.

According to Grace Bassey, this significant milestone is also a tribute to her late father, Naval CDR Asido Bassey Effah.

Her post read, “Last week, I graduated from U.S. Navy boot camp as a Sailor and took the oath as a citizen of the United States. Nigeria raised me. America challenged me. I stand today stronger and more determined than ever. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. This is just the beginning. In Honor of my Late Father – Naval CDR Asido Bassey Effah”.
