See What Parent Did to Protect Son Caught Cheating: Hired Thugs to Attack Vice Principal

Trouble erupted at Complete Child Development College, Aule in Akure, Ondo State, after the school’s Vice Principal, Mr. Rotifa, was beaten by thugs for stopping a student caught cheating during the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The crisis began when Mr. Rotifa confiscated an Android phone from an SS3 student found using it during the exam — a clear violation of school rules.
Angry over the seizure, the student’s mother stormed the school days later, demanding the phone back. The school proprietor eventually returned the device to her.
But the situation worsened when the student’s brother, a former pupil of the school, returned to intimidate and threaten Mr. Rotifa. After school hours, a group of young men were seen lurking around the premises, raising alarm.
The Vice Principal reported the harassment to the police, who took him in their van to find the suspects but came up empty-handed. On their way back, the thugs intercepted the police vehicle, dragged Mr. Rotifa out, and attacked him brutally.
He was rushed to the hospital and has since been discharged but remains fearful to return home due to threats.
The Ondo State Ministry of Education has launched an investigation and assured that security measures will be strengthened to protect staff and students for the remainder of the exams.
Attempts to reach the school principal for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
