See What’s Missing from Wizkid’s Tour Schedule Now

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Wizkid has canceled four major dates on the North American leg of his highly anticipated Morayo tour, sparking concern and speculation among fans and industry watchers alike.

The affected shows were scheduled to take place at prominent venues, including:

  • State Farm Arena, Atlanta – June 5
  • Madison Square Garden, New York – June 7
  • Scotiabank Arena, Toronto – June 11
  • CFG Bank Arena, Baltimore – June 15

While no formal statement has been released by Wizkid or his management team, multiple reports suggest that low ticket sales may have been a contributing factor in the decision to cancel.

In a now-viral social media post, Wizkid’s close associate Godson hinted at deeper personal struggles the artist may be facing. “Add him to your prayer,” he wrote. “Personally, I think he’s still grieving and nobody is helping him achieve this. Sad.”

Wizkid has maintained a relatively low public profile in recent months, following the passing of his mother in 2023. The cancellations have led to renewed conversations around the pressures of touring, audience engagement in North America, and the changing dynamics of global Afrobeats promotion.

Despite the North American setback, the European leg of the Morayo tour remains on schedule, with performances slated for Berlin, Rotterdam, and Paris later in the month.

The Morayo album, released in November 2024, received critical praise for its sound evolution and featured collaborations with artists such as Asake, Brent Faiyaz, and Jazmine Sullivan.
