A wave of renewed hope and speculation has swept across social media following reports that Saudi Arabia’s Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled Al-Saud, often referred to as the “Sleeping Prince,” has awakened after nearly 20 years in a coma.

Prince Al-Waleed, son of billionaire Prince Khaled bin Talal, fell into a coma in 2005 after sustaining severe injuries in a car crash while studying at a military college in the United Kingdom. Since then, he has been on life support at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, dependent on machines and a feeding tube.

In 2015, doctors advised his family to consider ending life support, citing no significant improvement in his condition. However, his father declined, expressing faith in divine intervention. “If God wanted him to die in the accident, he would have already been buried,” he said at the time.

By 2019, faint signs of responsiveness—like finger movement and slight head turns—gave the family and followers a glimmer of hope, though no major recovery followed.

Now, in a surprising twist, recent unverified reports circulating online suggest that the prince may have woken up. A few social media posts and blog updates have claimed this development, though no official confirmation has been issued by the Saudi royal family or hospital authorities.

While the news remains unconfirmed, the mere possibility of such a miraculous recovery after two decades has captured global attention. Supporters and well-wishers continue to flood social platforms with prayers, admiration for the family’s unwavering faith, and cautious optimism.
