See Why Iyabo Ojo Slammed Tanzanian Activist Over Daughter’s Marriage to Juma Jux

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has fired back fiercely at Tanzanian media personality Mange Kimambi, after the latter warned her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and son-in-law, singer Juma Jux, to stay off social media during Tanzania’s tense political season.
Mange Kimambi had earlier taken to Instagram, advising the couple to lie low and avoid posting “stup!d” or “distracting” content while the country braces for a crucial election period. The activist’s message, though couched in affection, triggered backlash from Nigerian fans — and now, Priscilla’s mum isn’t keeping quiet either.
In a no-holds-barred Instagram post, Iyabo Ojo called out Kimambi for what she described as an audacious and unacceptable attempt to intimidate her daughter.
“I’m appalled by your audacity!” she wrote. “Referring to my daughter and her husband in such a manner, calling their content stupid, and trying to drum fear and intimidation is unacceptable.”
Iyabo, clearly angered, made it clear that her daughter’s wedding was funded by her family and not by any government or politician — a direct response to Kimambi’s insinuation that their celebrity lifestyle was being used for political diversion.
“Regarding the wedding rumours, it’s not your government that gave us money; it’s a cultural tradition in my family,” she added.
“Keep my daughter out of your affairs. She’ll post what she likes, when, and how she likes. She doesn’t need you to love her. She is very loved and well-loved. We protect our own. Never forget that.”

Iyabo, who is known for her bold stance on social issues, reminded Kimambi that being an activist does not mean tearing others down.
“True leadership requires presence and courage… I fight for what I believe in, without insulting or targeting anyone,” she stated.
