See Why Pastor David Ibiyeomie Says Your Offering Should Be Bigger Than Your Tithe

Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has stirred fresh conversation among Christians after declaring that believers should give offerings bigger than their tithes each month.
Speaking during a recent sermon, the popular cleric emphasized that tithing, giving 10 percent of one’s income, is merely the foundation of financial covenant with God, but offerings, according to him, must go beyond that.
“Tithe is the foundation of your covenant to prosperity,” he said. “Don’t wait till month-end before you pay your tithe. Anytime money comes to you, pay 10 percent to God as a lifestyle.”
Going further, Pastor Ibiyeomie encouraged his congregation to increase their offerings, claiming it’s a key reason why he’s not lacking financially.
“In a month, your offering should be bigger than your tithe,” he said. “My offering, for instance — I don’t give less than 20 percent. That’s why I’m not poor.”
