It’s not every day someone gets $2,000 just for “having sense” on social media , but that’s exactly what happened to one lucky X (formerly Twitter) user after a viral moment under Grammy-winning singer Tems’ recent post.

The drama started when Tems took to X to clap back at the endless commentary about her body, particularly unsolicited takes about her backside. In a no-holds-barred post, she called out critics who obsessively analyze her figure, writing:

“Okay, 7 years in. It’s time to pack it up. I never thought I’d need to say it but you are all weird. ‘It’s small, it’s flat, it’s fat.’ Dog, IT’S MINE… Show me yours first?? See how that feels?… The more you don’t like my body the better for me actually.”

The post instantly sparked a storm of reactions, with fans, trolls, and spectators weighing in. One user chimed in saying:
“Real one knows she just has big laps not actual ass.”

That’s when Tems’ manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi (known on X as @IAmDonawon), couldn’t hold back. He fired back with:

“No single sense do they have on this app. Not even half a sense.”

But his response was met with even more fire. A different user replied:
“Na only one person tweet about her bum but na everybody on the app no get sense. Igbati kee you dia omo werey.”

It didn’t end there. Stepping in with clarity, an X user identified as @chidimmaibe defended Tems’ manager, stating:

“It’s not only 1 person. That’s just the person they used as example. There are many more ignorant foolish tweets about it.”

Her level-headed take stood out in the chaos, and Awoniyi noticed. Impressed by her reasoning, he replied to her directly, asking for her account number. Minutes later, he sent her a whopping $2,000 as a token of appreciation, saying she simply had “a lot of sense.”

Screenshots of the gesture went viral, sparking reactions across the platform. While some users joked about suddenly gaining sense, others praised Awoniyi for rewarding intelligent discourse in the face of online madness.

One user wrote:
“So this is how I missed $2k because I decided to be quiet today. God abeg.”

Another commented:
“Imagine just using your brain and it comes with alert. Lord, I’m ready.”
