‘Seen and Essential’: Paul Adefarasin Highlights the Sacred Role of Fathers in Society
Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, delivered a heartfelt message on Father’s Day, celebrating not only present and responsible fathers but also the single mothers who have taken on the dual role of parenting.
In an Instagram post shared alongside a warm family portrait, Adefarasin highlighted the deeper meaning of fatherhood, describing it as more than just a biological link. He called it “the weight of responsibility, the call to consistency, and the daily choice to lead with love and integrity.”
“Whether you are raising children, mentoring a generation, leading a business, or carrying a nation’s burdens in prayer — you are seen, and you are essential,” he wrote.
He extended a special salute to single mothers, acknowledging their strength and resilience in the face of parental gaps.
“To the single mothers who have had to rise in strength and stand in the gap — we salute your sacrifice and your tenacity.”
Pastor Adefarasin expressed concern over what he described as the “siege” on the very idea of fatherhood, urging society to reclaim its sacred place. He stressed that true national redemption wouldn’t come from policy alone, but from the steady presence of great fathers in all spheres of influence.
“Fathers in the home. Fathers in the pulpit. Fathers in the classroom. Fathers in leadership. Fathers in every sphere where restoration is needed.”
