Social Media User Accuses Police Officer of Questionable Vehicle Deal

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to accuse a senior police officer, CSP Gerald Chidozie Udechukwu, of selling him a Toyota Hilux that was allegedly stolen by fellow officers.
The man, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @Chukwutony89, shared his ordeal publicly, claiming he unknowingly bought the vehicle from CSP Udechukwu. According to him, he later discovered the Hilux had been reported stolen and traced back to a group of police personnel.
“Nigerians, this policeman, CSP Gerald Chidozie Udechukwu, sold me a Hilux vehicle that was allegedly stolen by policemen,” his tweet read. “I reported this to the Force PPRO @Princemoye1 and @PoliceNG three months ago, but no action has been taken.”
Despite reaching out to the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer and other authorities, the whistleblower claims his complaints have been ignored.
The revelation has since triggered a flurry of reactions online, with many expressing concern over the alleged misconduct and the perceived silence from police authorities.

Some users offered words of support, while others urged the poster to share more proof, such as photos of the vehicle.
@Youngdr1903 wrote, “You won’t hear anything again, bro. They’ll always cover each other’s tracks.”
@Okpanachi suggested, “Post a picture of the Hilux. That’ll help your case.”
Others voiced frustration over what they described as a recurring pattern of police impunity.
“As we all know, the police always cover up for their own,” wrote @tolu_of. “Unless the officer has no ‘mouth’ in the Force, nothing will happen.”
The Nigeria Police Force has yet to issue any official statement regarding the allegation as public pressure continues to mount.
