Speed Darlington in Hot Water: Rapper Faces Backlash Over Shocking Underage Sex Claims
Controversial Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington is under fire after disturbing allegations emerged online, accusing him of having an illicit relationship with a minor. The scandal exploded when a video went viral showing a woman claiming the musician assaulted her 16-year-old daughter.
Rather than directly denying the accusations, Darlington went on an Instagram tirade, hurling insults at bloggers and media figure Daddy Freeze while bizarrely offering a ₦3,000 cash giveaway to fans.

“Since when do I owe any of you explanations?” he snapped in the post. “All you bloggers can burn, especially that Daddy Freeze clown. Real fans, send me your account numbers—ten people get ₦3,009.”
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has since stepped in, confirming they are aware of the viral video but noting their hands are tied unless the alleged crime happened in Lagos. Since Darlington didn’t mention a location, the case has been handed over to NAPTIP for further investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, reaffirming their zero-tolerance stance on sexual violence. As outrage grows online, many are demanding accountability, while others question whether the rapper’s inflammatory response only deepens suspicion.
One thing’s for sure, this scandal isn’t going away anytime soon.
