Popular comedian and skit maker, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, widely known as Sabinus or Mr Funny, has hilariously reacted after fans kept tagging him in the trending “tag someone to gift you N1 million” challenge on social media.

In a video response shared online, Sabinus expressed disbelief that people were expecting him, of all people, to send them money — despite the fact that his skits usually end in tears and losses.

“Una dey forget so soon? You no dey watch my skits? E get any one wey I succeed?” he said, referring to the endless streak of bad luck his character often experiences in his comedy videos.

The comic star didn’t hold back as he asked fans to redirect their tags to people who “actually have money,” suggesting they try celebrities like Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest instead.

“Me, Sabinus? You suppose dey donate give me sef!” he added jokingly, making it clear he’s not the philanthropist fans are hoping for.

As expected, fans flooded his comment section with laughter and teasing:

@giddy.bragado: “Oya no vex, 500k nko?”

@slimautomobile: “This guy is effortlessly funny.”

@asorockcomedian: “Sabinus wey get money pass commissioners for state. Make una dey tag am oh!”

@tianobeautyspa: “Asking you for money is just like asking AKPI for money.”

@evacomedytv_: “Dem tag me to pay 200k omo I was like how? Me? Eva?”

While Sabinus continues to play the role of a broke and unlucky character in his content, it’s clear fans still see him as one of the big boys.
