Tayo Aina Shares Experience with Davido in Botswana—See What He Said About Him

Popular Nigerian travel content creator, Tayo Aina, has recounted a heartwarming experience he had with Afrobeats superstar Davido while on a trip to Botswana.

In a post shared via his official X account, Tayo recalled how he found himself stranded after a filming session and was surprised by Davido’s unexpected gesture of kindness. According to him, Davido and his entire 30BG crew had boarded a sprinter bus, which was already filled to capacity, ready to head back to the hotel. Tayo, who hadn’t planned to ride with them, stood outside trying to order an Uber.

Just as the bus was about to drive off, Davido noticed him and asked the driver to stop. He then instructed his crew to open the door and make space for Tayo, despite the obvious inconvenience it would cause. The blogger said the crew adjusted and he ended up squeezing between two people.

“He probably doesn’t even remember this,” Tayo wrote, “but it left a very strong impression on me… It’s easy to be humble when you have nothing, much harder when you have everything. That’s the kind of guy David is—someone who is willing to carry everyone along.”

Tayo emphasized that the gesture, though small to others, revealed the true character of the music star. He described it as one of the purest acts of humility he has ever witnessed in all his travels, especially from a globally recognized figure like Davido.
