Tory Lanez’s Team Breaks Silence After Wild Prison Rumor
The management of American rapper Tory Lanez has broken its silence following viral reports that the artist was hospitalized after being stabbed in prison.
Recall that Read Naija reported earlier that Lanez, who is currently serving a 10-year sentence, had been stabbed by a fellow inmate and was in critical condition.
In a statement shared via the rapper’s official Instagram page, his team confirmed that Lanez was indeed stabbed 14 times, leaving him with collapsed lungs and requiring a breathing apparatus.
Despite the gruesome details, the statement assured fans that the “Say It” crooner is recovering and in high spirits.
“We appreciate the continued support and prayers. Tory is strong, and his energy remains unshaken,” the post read.
Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, was convicted in 2022 for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion and has since been serving time in California.
The incident has reignited concerns about celebrity safety behind bars, with fans calling for transparency and better protection measures.
