VDM Continues Unfiltered Attacks on Pastor Ibiyeomie – Watch What He Said This Time

Controversial activist and online commentator, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has once again taken a direct shot at Pastor David Ibiyeomie, continuing what has become a running online feud between the two.

In a fresh video making waves across social media, VDM did not hold back as he slammed the Port Harcourt-based preacher over what he called “a pattern of saying nonsense in the name of sermons.”

Recall that earlier, Pastor Ibiyeomie had issued a stern warning, threatening to arrest anyone, especially bloggers, who speak ill of him online. That statement drew widespread backlash, including from VDM, who accused the pastor of using intimidation to silence critics.

But in this latest video, VDM doubled down. He claimed he took time to listen to several of Ibiyeomie’s messages and concluded that the pastor’s teachings lacked depth and substance.

“I took my time to go through his preaching, and I think I understand why he says if you criticize him, they will arrest you. It’s because he says a lot of nonsense. And truly, the man no like criticism,” VDM said in the video.

He added that arrest threats are a form of bullying that religious leaders often employ to shut down accountability, especially from younger Nigerians who are beginning to question long-standing religious narratives.

The activist’s comments have once again ignited debate across platforms like X and Instagram, with thousands weighing in on the controversy.

@mavysax: “VDM you go get church soon… I go dey help you collect offering.”

@rexokorie1: “I remember when he came to my school, Michael Okpara University. Plenty miracles, but none happened to a student. But power dey shaa.”

Despite criticism, VDM has remained unapologetic. Known for tackling controversial figures and calling out what he sees as societal double standards, he seems intent on continuing this particular crusade against what he calls “pastoral oppression.”
