Why Cubana Chief Priest Doesn’t Regret Kneeling Before Tinubu

Popular nightlife promoter and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has responded to the wave of criticism that trailed a recent video showing him kneeling to greet President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Taking to his Instagram page, the socialite brushed off the backlash, declaring that insults, both online and in real life, won’t stop his climb to success.
In a strongly worded post, Cubana said many of his critics were once vocal opponents of the same political leaders they now praise. He argued that their anger had little to do with his act of kneeling and more to do with his continued relevance and influence.
“All of a sudden, dem don love me so much that they are hurt I knelt down for Presidency,” he wrote. “But I know say no be wetin dey really pain una. Wetin dey pain una be say, why is it always CP?”
He likened the backlash to previous attacks faced by Tinubu and Shettima before they emerged as Nigeria’s President and Vice President, saying his own journey to the top might follow a similar path.

“Na so una abuse them till they became Presidency, na so una go abuse me till I become wetin dey my mind to become,” he added. “Una abuse na blessing in disguise.”
Despite the noise, Cubana said he feels “super comfortable” kneeling before Tinubu and Shettima, while hinting at a bigger ambition for his own future.
He ended his post with a bold declaration:
“CP shall kneel, stand, walk, work, dance, sleep, grow, and explore. #CpNoSmall.”
