Zubby Michael’s Kick Lands Nollywood Actor in Hospital – Internal Bleeding Confirmed!

Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalized after suffering internal injuries during a film shoot with fellow actor Zubby Michael.

Read Naija learned that the incident unfolded on set when Nnadiekwe was unexpectedly kicked in the chest—an action not included in the script nor authorized by the director. Speaking out on Instagram, Nnadiekwe clarified that he wasn’t trying to shame his senior colleague but wanted to spotlight the urgent need for stricter safety measures in Nollywood.

“During the shoot, I was kicked hard in the chest. It wasn’t part of the scene. I’ve been in pain and had to treat myself, with no support or first aid on site,” he wrote. “If we’re working without insurance or proper safety plans, accidents like this could turn fatal.”

In a follow-up statement, his management confirmed that the actor is receiving treatment for internal bleeding and thanked fans for their support. They also promised to keep the public and Actors Guild of Nigeria informed on his recovery.
